Benefits of Membership in the NYG&B

The NYG&B is a membership organization, and new members are always welcome.

NYG&B Members receive:

• A subscription to The Record, a distinguished quarterly scholarly journal published continuously since 1870 and recognized as the most important journal for New York  genealogical research

• A subscription to The New York Researcher, a colorful quarterly review which features instructive articles on genealogical research techniques and resources; news from the fields of genealogy and biography; announcements about the NYG&B; book reviews; and a Genealogical Exchange where members may publish queries related to their research

• Access to the NYG&B’s Minisearch Service exclusively for members: submit a specific request for a photocopy of a document that they have identified in the collections of the Milstein Division of the New York Public Library, the Municipal Archives of New York City, or the National Archives – New York. The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society is a tax-exempt organization under Sec. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. For tax purposes, the non-deductible portion of membership dues is $30.
