You are invited to Search Worden's Index, which contains over one million names that have appeared in The Record between 1870 and 2010. Continuously published since 1870, the entire run of The Record comprises 567 issues at present and forms the largest single collection of published material on families that lived in New York State.
This comprehensive names index, originally created by Mrs. Jean D. Worden and updated annually by NYG&B volunteers and interns, provides an invaluable research tool that has been appreciated by genealogical scholars everywhere. While anyone may search Worden's Index, only NYG&B members have online access to The Record, as well as specialized indexes and an Advanced Search function to help mine the rich body of information contained inThe Record collection.
